Loosing Weight

Some of you may or may not have noticed that I am slowly loosing weight. I made some goals in June and gave myself a year to meet those goals. I did a few things to help me keep on track through the holidays.

The first thing I did was I ran the Turkey Trot 10K in Temecula. It was great motivation to keep running even when I had guests here. I felt really good about how I ran the race. I was able to run the entire time even though it had more hills than I trained for. I also made good time! Overall I wasn't impressed with the race experience. They didn't have enough T-shirts, they recorded the times wrong, and I didn't ever find anyone to do it with me. So I didn't fall in love with the idea of running races consistently. But it was good motivation and I will probably do one from time to time to keep me running. The best part was getting to the finish line. We started at the bottom of this crazy steep hill and so I thought we would end there. I was wrong at the very end I had to run up that stinky hill and it was tourture. I did it though because at the top I could see my cute family waiting. When I got to them Apri grabbed my hand and said I will finish with you mommy! It was a perfect way to finish my first race! :)

The second thing I did was entered a biggest looser competition. It was mostly people from my ward. It was great motivation and I was able to loose alot quickly. I took 4th place out of about 12-16 women. Can't remember exactly how many there was because several stopped weighing in.

I am getting that much closer to my goals!! YEA!!! In November I was down 11 lbs. Now I am down a total of 30lbs! It has been a long road but so worth the results! I have about 12 more lbs. to go hopefully I can reach all my goals by June! :)
