First Visitors/Easter

We had a great visit with Wayne's parents over Easter week. Elaine was out of school for spring break. It was so nice to show them where we live. They missed the green of spring by about a week. They did get to see a few trees in bloom. They were just so happy to see the kids. Apri was so happy to have them here. We took them on a few adventures.
We went to Paris,TN and found the Eiffel tower. They have a mini..very mini replica of the Eiffel Tower there it was kind of disappointing. It was so funny we were not quite sure how to find it so we stoped at a local gas station to ask where to find it. I asked a man "Do you know where the Eiffel tower is." He looks at me like I am totally crazy and says "Ummm...I believe it is in Paris France" It was so funny I quickly explained that there was a mini Eiffel tower somewhere in Paris he still thought I was crazy until someone else gave me directions. He really thought I was insane.

On the way out of Paris we found my Donut store... I thought my family would get a kick out of this.

We went to a place called Patti's to eat. It is a really neat old settlement with beautiful gardens. They had a delicious Pork Chop dish, Wayne is still talking about it!! He wants to go back really bad....maybe for Fathers Day. We got there a little late so we didn't get to see everything they had there so we definitely need to go back sometime.

We also went and saw where the Ohio and Mississippi River meet. It was an amazing sight. They have a park where you can look at the rivers joining together. The rivers were flooded so we couldn't even get into the park. We did look at it from the bridges and a lookout up on a small hill. It was really neat to see. I am so impressed with the rivers they are so massive. The first time I saw the Ohio river I thought it was a Lake! Then I saw the current and Wayne told me it was the Ohio river. You will have to come visit so you can see it yourself!!

Of course we celebrated Easter. Here are the kids in their Easter outfits!

It was a fun Easter and a wonderful visit!!

I'm trying to get over the fact that this post ("Our First Visitors") is not about me! BooHoo. "Our Second Visitors" just doesn't have the same ring to it. :)

That is quite a shiner Elaine has!

Love Apri's curls. And I want to check out the rivers coming together. Sounds impressive.
