Thanks Wayne for making my Birthday a special day!

Oh, and this is the blanket I quilted for the baby. It isn't perfect, but I thought it turned out pretty cute for my first try at quilting.

I DID IT!!

I didn't think it was ever going to happen......I caught up on my posts! Sorry for the overload! Here is an update of the 2nd half of our summer!

BOY OR GIRL??

Most of you know that we are waiting until the baby is born to find out if it is a boy or a girl. Here is a 3D picture of the baby that we got when I was about 6 months along in my pregnancy. So what is your vote BOY OR GIRL????? I am curious to see what you all think.

Just a little update on the pregnancy. Everything is going well for the most part. I feel much better than I felt with Apri. Although I am exhausted all the time and my sciatic nerve is killing me!! Only 11 more weeks to go and our new little bundle of joy will be here! I am nervous to see how Apri reacts, it will be a big change for her. It will be a big change for all of us but I can't wait to meet the baby....boy or girl!!!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

A few months ago my mom bought Apri a kite. Often since then Apri has begged to go outside and fly her kite. Every time she asked I would sadly have to explain to her that there was not enough wind. Well finally the other day there was some wind and Wayne and I helped Apri fly her kite. She was so excited!!! We couldn't get her to hold still though she kept on running around and the kite would fall. It was a hoot to watch. Here are some pictures of her excitement!

Stinkin' Texas

This has been the favorite phrase in our home for the past 3 months. Many of you already know but Wayne was in Texas for 3 1/2 months covering a maternity leave for an HR manager there. It was a very very long 3 1/2 months. I didn't realize how awful it was going to be. I knew it wasn't going to be a walk in the park but I didn't know it would be so hard either. Often over the 3 1/2 months Apri would ask "Where is dad?" my reply was always "Stinkin' Texas!!". So of course she began to call it Stinkin' Texas too. Now Wayne is home again and it has been wonderful to have him back. While Wayne was in Stinkin' Texas we were lucky enough to get to visit for a week. We had a really fun time while we were there. We got to see the City, we went to the Stockyards, we saw were JFK was shot, and much more. Poor Wayne was so lonely after we left! Whenever I missed Wayne really, really bad I would always remember that he had it worse because he was all alone. Thank goodness it is over and we are all together again! Here are some pictures from our visit to texas.

Wayne way to happy for a jail-bird

Me so sad to be in Jail

Apri at the pool

Apri the Horse Girl. Whatever you do don't call her a Cow Girl! It is a really touchy subject! When we told her she was a Cow girl she insisted "No, I am a Horse girl, and this is my Horse girl hat!!!"

Apri on her horse ride.

We all looked like this after walking around at the Stockyards! CAN YOU SAY HOT!!!

Dallas Temple

This picture is for Matt! Stinkin' Cowboys live in stinkin' Texas! No suprise there! This is the new Dalas Cowboy Stadium. It is massive!!

Near Wayne's hotel there was this nice little park. There were these really cute turtles swiming around in the water. Apri thought they were her pets!

PLEASE PLEASE!! DO NOT FEED THE NUTRIA!

At the same park there were some freaky ROUS!!! Yes...Rodents Of Unusual Size. They were nasty!!! Swiming around with the cute little turtles! They were everywhere! Are they discusting or what!

Bye Bye Baby!

In July we got a new computer system at my work, because of this I had to work full time in the month of July. It was really hard to work so much being pregnant and I hated leaving Apri. Well one week I was scheduled to work 5 days in a row. With Wayne out of town I decided it would be easiest to sent Apri out to Neola to spend some time with Wayne's parents. They have been wanting Apri to come out and visit for some time now and I just couldn't let my baby go. I thought she was too little and I wasn't sure how she would react. I knew she would be fine but it was a first for me and I was worried! She of course had a blast with Grandma, Grandpa, Gus and Ansley. I finally was able to convince Wayne's parents that Apri is not a perfect child. Every time they see her she is pretty well behaved, they got to see a tantrum or two while she was there. All and all I think she was a good girl for them and they had fun with their granddaughter's. I was so grateful for their help! Although with both Wayne and Apri gone I realised that I no longer have a life without them. I just felt lost! I did enjoy the time to relax but I missed them like crazy and I was so happy to have Apri home!!! After the week was over I realized that my baby is gone!!! She is just so big and independent! It is fun to watch her grow but so sad to really admit that she is no longer my baby!

4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July! Wayne was home for the weekend and we had both of our families over for a BBQ. Even Samantha's family was here visiting. We were a little worried that it was going to rain on us but the weather turned out fine. We went to the Layton City breakfast and parade in the morning. Apri had a fun time watching the parade with her cousins. Wayne of course had fun being tortured at the parade. Wayne is not a fan of crowds or heat so he puts up with the misery for me! Isn't he so sweet! That night after our BBQ we walked to the Layton park for the fireworks. All and all it was a fun holiday!

Princess Party

Apri got to go to a really fun princess party in July. The party was for preschool. We had been teaching about manners and who has better manners than a princess? It was so much fun! Sara set up her house so cute, and Lisa made the cutest cake. The girls just loved it! We played some games like pin the crown on the princess, and Kiss the frog. Then we enjoyed a yummy lunch...using all our best manners of course! Apri was so excited to dress up she loved her princess dress! I think I might do something similar for her Birthday this year.

Swimming Lesssons

In July Apri and I did swimming lessons together. She isn't old enough for the toddler class so we did the Mom and Tot class together again. She was so brave! She still doesn't like to put her face under the water but she was really close to floating on her back alone. She loves the water, she is a fish like me. She also loved her teacher Sam, she was so excited every day to see her. It was lots of fun!

The Best Wife Ever

Just so everyone knows I (Wayne) am posting this not Renee. I wanted to clarify this before everyone started to think that Renee is conceited and blogging about herself. I know father's day was last month, but I wasn't able to use the gift she got me until last week. Seeing how I wasn't even in the state and away on father's day, she was still able to get me an awesome gift. For those who don't know I am a fan of the Boston Redsox and they happened to be playing in Dallas, so my awesome wife got me a ticket to a game while they were in town. Now if I only could find some time to get out and use the golf clubs she gave me for my birthday/graduation (another great gift by the way).

I also need to thank her for being so supportive of me over the last few years especially the last 8 or so months. Not only have I been out of town for 4 of the last 8 months (December, May, June and July), but when I have been in town I have been working and finishing up school, so I might as well have been out of town. All this time she has been so supportive and understanding. I think I speak for Apri as well when I say thanks for all you do and for being a great mom and wife.
