Snack and a Question

I love General Conference!! I am so grateful that we have a living prophet on the earth today. After each general conference I always leave with a desire to be a better person. There is still several sessions left so I wanted to share this recipe with you. I am going to make it this afternoon so we can snack on in during conference.

General Conference Snack

1C Sugar 1 Box golden grahams
3/4 C Butter 1 Box Chex
1 C Karo Syrup 1/2 bag coconut/almonds/and M&M's

*you can add anything sweet you want

Bring sugar, butter, and Karo syrup to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes then mix in remaining ingredients. Stir in a very large bowl. Spread into 2 cookie sheets and let stand until cool. Then snack away!!!

I hope all of you will enjoy your conference snack!! I hope you will enjoy the spirit of conference more!! Now for my question! After each conference my dad always asks me who was your favorite speaker and why? So that is my question to you. Who was your favorite speaker and why? I just love to hear what sticks out to others. We all go to the same meeting but we all leave with something different. I can't wait to hear what you learned!!

I'm terrible, but totaly forgot it was conference with all the sports we had going on today. I did catch the last talk by Bednar though. Loved it! Makes me look at prayer in a whole new way.

I'm going to make your snack for Sunday's sessions. I usually make Muddy Buddies. If you don't have the recipe here it is. It's yummy too!

9 c. Chex
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in the microwave for 1 minute. Stir and heat for another 30 seconds (or until the mixture is smooth). Add the vanilla and then add to Chex cereal. Put in a large plastic bag, add in powdered sugar and shake until coated. Put on a cookie sheet and cool.

You've probably had this, but I love it!

I love all the talks, but on Saturday's session I enjoyed Bro. Wirthlin's talk about being able to laugh at yourself. His story about his daughter going on the blind date with a wrong guy was so funny. I need to laugh at myself more often.

I loved Elder Hollands talk about angels. And I think it was him that shared one of President Monson's favorite scriptrues: The one about "I will be on your right hand and your left, I will go before you..." I need to look it up when I'm not so tired. I also loved what I saw as a theme of let's be possitive and look on the bright side. Be grateful. Great weekend!

sorry, this comment is a little late but I loved President Ukdorf's talk about over coming despair. I loved the story about his mom and the runaway train that had her children on it. It was very inspirational!
