Still doing it

Almost done with week 6 of p90x!! Can't believe it! Hope I can stick with it the last 7 weeks. I was so proud that I did it every day while we were on vacation. I have also started using my fitness pal to track my calories.  BRING IT!!!

Yall come back ya hear!

We had some of our Kentucky family come to see us!! Doug and Heidi!! It was so good to see them. They were here visiting family and baseball fields (Doug is an avid baseball fan). We spent a few hours talking and catching up. We are so glad they took the time to come and see us. They are great and we miss them. Doug is trying to convince Heidi how awesome it would be to live out here.I hope he wins the battle!!! :)

It made me miss all of our Kentucky Family!! I will always have a special place in my heart for my Kentucky pals!

Dad

As I mentioned my dad had to have heart surgery in May. He had it the day we left on our trip. I had been so stressed and worried about him. I didn't realized how stressed I was until it came to the day. He had some problems and things didn't go as smoothly as we would have liked. He had some bleeding that would not stop and he had to go back into surgery for a second time. He was really giving us all a scare. He gave himself a scare too!! It is hard to watch your parents go through something like this. It is a first for me. Everything turned out okay and recovery is going well now. Not as quickly as my dad would like but it is going good. I am so grateful for my wonderful dad and this experience really made me admire all he did for his parents as an only child he did alot for them. I am glad that there are six of us to help with him. Although there wasn't much we could do to help. I was glad that we were there on vacation so I could help a little. Vivian has done alot for him and I am grateful for all the things she does for my dad.

So glad for modern technology so I can keep my dad around!! He is a keeper!!

Love you Dad!!

Memorial Day

The last day of our trip was Memorial day and we spent the day in the Kelly's pool. It was awesome!!
We went down to Vegas on Sunday so we could be there when Jackson received the priesthood. It was neat to be there. He is such a stud, so proud of him! I wish all my nieces and nephews would stop growing up so fast and making me feel old!!

We were sad Erika was out of town for volleyball. We still had fun without her though! We enjoyed a relaxing day of fun in the sun. It was the perfect way to end our trip.
(Too bad we got stuck in traffic on the way home!!)

No pictures of this fun day!! Bummer!

Layton

After Neola we headed to Layton. We had a good time seeing some old friends and hanging out with some of my family. My dad had just had heart surgery so we didn't get to see him much. We didn't get to see Abram long either he is busy remodeling a home he just bought. Hopefully we will get to see his house next time. Wayne and I got to enjoy a ton of free time while we were at my moms. I went shopping and Wayne went golfing and we went on a few dates. We also got to hang with Josh and Bethany. We sure do miss them they are great friends!

We got to go with Emily to the temple for her first time. That was really special. We watched her do baptisms for the dead. She is such a sweet girl. All of Brian's girls are sweet!! They all played so good with my kids. While we were in the temple Grandma Sharon watched all the little kids at the hands on kids Museum that the church has. Camden and Apri had tons of fun there.

The highlight for me was the Airplane show at Hill Air Force Base. I went as a child but didn't remember much. It was soooooo cool!!! Camden loved it! I think he was in heaven. Getting to the air show was a joke. We got there and it started poring down rain we walked half a block and were soaking wet and decided to go back home because the planes were not flying. So we sat in traffic for an hour. To pass the time in the car we played a game where we said what we liked about each person in the car. It was kind of special to think about each person and hear what we had to say about each other. I sure to love our families!! We are lucky!! :) As soon as we got back to my moms we heard the planes flying again. We were so bugged! After a debate we got up the courage to try one more time and we were glad we did. It was a funny day!! We had fun while we were wet and stuck in the car! He He!!

Homeward Bound

We took a trip to Utah at the end of May to see our families. We had a great visit with everyone. Apri gets so excited to go play and visit with all her grandparents and cousins. We drove this year which was great. It was nice to not pay a fortune in plane tickets. We stopped in Vegas at Samantha's to split the trip up so that made it easier on the kids. They all traveled really well.

First we went to Neola for a few days. It is always very relaxing there. The kids run around outside all day playing and we relax. We got to see all of Wayne's brothers and sisters and their kids. They all live together now. We had family pictures taken on day. One day all the married couples went out on a little dinner date. That was fun we had a good time while grandma and grandpa went crazy with the kids. Wayne's mother was getting to retire, this was her last year of teaching. We had a good time visiting and catching up with everyone there.

Wish I would have taken more pictures of the things we did and the people we saw!! I am getting bad! The kids played on the 4 wheeler and went on a horse ride but I didn't get pictures of that. Oh, well!

So glad that everyone took the time to play with us while we were there. You made us feel special!! :)

1st Haircut

Tyson got his first real haircut. I had clipped a few long hairs here and there but this time I used the clippers. He was not a fan of the clippers he cried and kept turning his head. I was amazed that he looked somewhat okay when I was done. :) My little baby is growing up! Can't believe he will be one soon! :(
