Sledding

Today we got to go sledding! It was such a blast! We went with the Bakes and really had a good time. We were not to sure how it would work out. You see we live in Murray Kentucky where snow is a rare thing. If it comes it doesn't stay long. So if you don't have snow clothes or a sled or a shovel chances are you won't get one because the stores carry one or none of all of these items so they instantly sell out of them. So it was interesting trying to find something to go sledding with. First I stuffed Apri into her old snow clothes that are size 3T she is in 5T or 6T now so that was interesting. Then we made poor Camden look like a girl. All I had for him was Apri's old snowsuit. The sleds we found turned out great we used a boogie board and a raft. It was awesome!! The raft was perfect they could pile in together and you could send the little kids and not worry about it tipping over. The boogie board worked great to it was fast and they loved it in fact I don't think I will ever buy a sled now! Anyway we had a good time working with what we had!! FUN TIMES!!!!

BIG NEWS!

Well I did it I updated the blog after a 2 month break!! He He! But that is not the big news

The big news is........

BABY #3 is in the OVEN!!
We are so excited! I am almost 4 months along and I am due at the end of July! I think most of you already knew this news. If you didn't, now you do!! Apri is hoping for a little sister, we will just have to wait and see. I am sure some of you are wondering how far apart Camden and the Baby will be. Answer......21 months. CRAZY!!???? YES!!!!!!

Things

Just a few things that I wanted to add....

A few weeks ago our dishwasher broke. There are few things I hate more than doing the dishes...even when I have a dishwasher. I just hate it!! So you can imagine how thrilled I was to live without one for 2 weeks!! Oh, it gave me rage! Good news is that we now have a nice new dishwasher that I love. Wayne even installed it himself saving us $100. Anyway I just wanted to say to everyone out there who does not own a dishwasher I am so sorry and I don't know how you do it! :) I am so so grateful that we were able to get a new one...we are so blessed!

We went bowling with the Bakes. It was fun!!
Here are the girls keeping score. The bowling ally here is really old so old you have to keep score yourself. :) He he! Gotta love livin' in a small town!

I made these...

I was really proud of the PJ's I had never sewed on a zipper before.

It snowed about 3 inches here and that is a big deal around here so we went out and had some snow fun.

I thought they looked pretty cute in their snow gear!

New Years

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 2011 is here crazy! We had a great time on new year's eve. We had a progressive dinner with the Walkers, Bakes, and Hinmans. It was a blast. We each planned a game and made part of the dinner. We had a lot of good laughs! The night ended early though not only can our kids not make it we can't either. Dang when did I get so old!! We had a pretend toast at about 9:15 or something. Apri wanted to have a toast so we did it a little early! :) Here are some pictures of the fun! Bummed I didn't take more! :(

Cute kids!

Cheers!!!

Something so simple can create so much joy!

Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas! It was so nice to just relax and enjoy spending time together. We opened our gifts in the morning and then had a big Christmas breakfast with the Missionaries. The Missionaries hung out at our house half of the day talking to their families on our web cam...(can you believe all the things they are allowed to do now?...They can text and facebook now too crazy....anyway) We spent the rest of the day playing with all our new stuff and watching movies. It was great!!!

Apri's face in these pictures is priceless! I love that kids bring magic back to the holidays!! Hope you all had a great Christmas too!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was strange without family. All of our traditions were with our families so we got to start some new traditions which was fun. Our friends the Bakes had us over for a delicious Korean dinner. Alan served his mission there and that is what they do every year. Then after dinner we acted out the nativity with the kids. Wayne was thrilled that he got to be the donkey! He He!! The only reason he did it is because Apri begged! Apri was Mary and I was Joseph it was a fun night. We are so lucky to have good friends.

Here are the kids putting the cookies out for Santa. Camden just wanted to eat the cookies he didn't really care if Santa got one! This was a hard picture to get! :)

Even though we missed our family like crazy we didn't have to be alone over the holidays! So grateful for that, and so grateful for the birth of our Savior and the life he lived!

Silly Kids!

This just made me laugh! I love the funny things they do for fun!

Ballet Recital

Apri recently had her first Ballet recital. She did a great job it was so fun to watch her learn over the last few months. I really love the program she is in. The price is great the teachers are awesome and they keep everything simple which I love. I hear stories all the time about outragous costs for recitals. Ours cost nothing extra and Apri got to make her costume herself. She was very excited to preform. Here is the video I took of the dance and some other pictures.

Isn't she so cute! I love it!!!

Ward Christmas Party

This year the primary was in charge of planning the Ward Christmas Party. We kept it simple nice dinner followed by a visit from Santa, then to finish off the night the Hinman's read the story The Last Straw after that we sang carols and sent each family home with a manger of their own. This was something my mom had done for a ward party years ago so I stole her idea. I always stress about how everything will turn out!! It is a lot of pressure to be the one in charge!!! Anyway it turned out great and we had lots of great helpers as always. Here are a few pictures from the night.

Santa

Apri with Santa....Camden wasn't in the mood if ya know what I mean.

Sister Austin

Sister Austin is one of many awesome missionaries that have served in our ward. While she was serving here she had a birthday. She let us know by writing it in big letters on our calender (sneaky). To make her day special I made a cake for her. Not long after her birthday she was transferred. We are so lucky that we live in a small ward and get to have such close contact with the Missionaries!

NFL Game

Wayne and I got to go to our first NFL game together. It was really fun. The best part was the tickets were free. A co-worker of Wayne's gave us the tickets! So nice of him!! Wayne was totally stoked as you can imagine. I just enjoyed hanging out together. I was worried that I would be freezing cold but I was fine. We could see really well even though we were way up at the top. The game was the Titans vs. Colts. The Colts are my team so it was fun to watch them and they won so that was awesome too. It was a fun night!!

Apri's 4th Birthday!

I can't belive our little princess is four!! Time goes by so quickly! Apri was looking forward to her birthday. She thinks that because she is 4 now she is officially a big girl. She no longer lets us call her our baby. We tell her she will always be our little baby but she does not agree.

She had a fun birthday. We started the day with pancake breakfast. Wayne made an "A" pancake for Apri. This is something his dad would do for him as a kid. Then rode around the block on her new bike even though it was freezing cold out. We also went and saw Tangled in the theater and she was thrilled about that. She loved the movie.

Apri with the Sisters on her Birthday...they were so nice to remember!!

Apri with her Crown cake.

Then because her birthday was on a Saturday this year we decided to have her friend birthday party that night as well. We had a small group of her close friends over for a princess party. She is still all about princesses. We made crowns and played several princess themed games like pin the kiss on the frog. She had a great time with her friends and loved her crown cake. I always have fun making a cake and I thought this one was one of my best so far.

We are so glad that Apri is part of our family. She is so helpful, kind, and smart. She is growing into a cute kid! I wish she would stop growing somtimes!! I want to keep her small forever!! We love you Apri!! Thanks for being such a great daughter!
