Silly

We got this thank you card from the Sister Missionaries serving here! This is what they decided to do on their P-Day. Thought you might get a kick out of it! I couldn't stop laughing!

If we ever do really meet President Monson I hope I am not stuffing my face with cobbler! :)
(The inside of the card didn't say anything funny so I just scaned in the front page)

NAVOO!!!!

WE LOVE NAVOO!! Wayne and I want to live in Navoo and just soak in the spirit that is there. (maybe one day we will serve a mission there) It was so wonderful to be there. Every place you go the spirit is so strong you can't help but have a great time. Where to start!?? There was so much to see we didn't even get to see it all. Good thing we live close so we can go back again sooner than later.

The main reason we decided to go to Navoo now is because Sister Patterson (A Missionary who served here in Kentucky a few months ago) is serving there and promised to give us a VIP tour. It was so good to see her!! She is a sweetheart and we just love her!

Family at Carthage Jail

She was working at the Carthage Jail. She did an amazing job!! The spirit was so strong there. It was very emotional for me to think of all he did for us. I am so grateful for all he sacrificed to help restore the gospel to the earth. Joseph Smith truly was a Prophet of God!!

Apri had a fun time in the Family Living Center. It was interesting to see how the pioneers did things. We are so spoiled! They were such hard workers!
Apri having a fun ride.

Apri making a rope at the Family Living Center.

They also showed her how to brush wool, make candles, make bread, make barrels, and a few other things.

I think the wagon ride and carriage ride were the highlight for Apri! She really liked the plays we saw also. They had a fun play called Anna Amanda that she enjoyed.
Me and Camden on the wagon ride.

Apri pretending on a wagon.

Camden hangin' out in the stroller! He was such a good baby even though we wore him out!

The temple was beautiful!! Wayne and I took turns doing a session. The artwork inside was really amazing. Again the spirit was so strong in the Temple. It was humbling to think of the Pioneers leaving the temple behind as they left for the Exodus. I am so impressed with the early saints. They were so faithful to follow the prophet even though it was hard.

HOT!!

It is very very HOT!!! I am dying! Wayne is worried that when I go to Visit in Utah I won't come back. The humidity really is killing me! So to fight the heat we are out in the pool often. I think we need a bigger one! Here is some photos of Apri swimming with some friends.

Don't you just love Apri and her cheesy smile! I have the hardest time getting her to stop long enough to smile for the camera!

So far we are having a really fun summer! I hope everyone else is too!

Strawberries!

YUMM!! FRESH PICKED STRAWBERRIES!!

We went to a local berry farm here and got some delicious strawberries! We went with the Bakes family. I was glad they were there to help me it was hard work with Camden on me. It was worth it though....they were the best strawberries! I was also brave and made homemade jam for the first time. Not as hard as I expected. This will be something fun we can do every year now!

Flowers in bloom!

Everything is so beautiful here! We are lucky that we have a yard already lanscaped for us. Here are some pictures of our beautiful plants!

The Peones

The Hostas(These are huge they are taking over!!)

The Roses

The Lilys

I love to watch everything bloom. Our roses and Lilys are getting ready to bloom for a 2nd time. I was told that they might bloom 3 or 4 times a year here. I don't even have to water them!!! Very different from Utah!
