This cross-stitch only took my 2 and 1/2 years to finish!! Pathetic I know, but I am proud to say that it is finally complete, and it turned out pretty cute!

Poor Bri!!

Many of you know my brother Brian had open heart surgery last week. Thank heaven everything went well and he is recovering quickly because he is young and in good health. I just wanted to show you some of the sad photos from the night I went and saw him after the surgery. I wish I had another picture so you could see that he looks much better now, but I don't, just the sad ones for now. If you look close you can see that he is holding his thumb up. It hurt to talk so he would just give us a thumbs up.

It was so sad to see him in so much pain. I am glad that he is home and feeling a little better now!! He still has a long road to recovery but we are so glad that the procedure was a success. We love you Bri and we are glad that you are doing well!!

Fudgy Pudgy Cake!

I made this cake for my family Christmas party and it looked terrible! It was pathetic I wish I had a picture so you could see how awful it looked. When I made it the first time the cake just crumbled out of the cake pan. I could barely get it to stack I had to squish the crumbs together. It was very very sad!! It did taste good despite how ugly it was. I had to make the cake again and prove to myself that it could be beautiful and taste good and the same time. It turned out so beautiful this time that I had to take a picture! I also had to show my brother Brian so he wouldn't make fun of my sad ugly cake anymore!!

Happy New Year!!

Well the New year is here! I love the start of a new year. It always motivates me to be a little better than the previous year. I love to make new goals and organise my life. Here are some things that we have done the past few weeks. First we spent a few days in Neola. We had a nice relaxing visit. While I was there I finished a cross stitch that I have been working on for quite a while. So I was glad to finally get that done. Also while we were there we found out that we are going to have another family member...not a cute little baby this time. A big baby named Blake...He He just kidding Ashlee. Ashlee, Wayne's little sister, got engaged on New Years Eve to a very nice guy named Blake. We don't know him that well yet but he seems really nice and we are really excited for them. I forgot to take a photo of the happy couple, sorry.

Playing at Grandma and Grandpa's

Wayne pulling Apri on the sled.

Next I snowblowed the driveway for my first time. I was pretty proud of myself! I had never used our snowblower before and I wanted to surprise Wayne so that when he got home from a long day of work and school he wouldn't have to worry about it. It took me a while to get it started but it was way easier than shoveling. Wayne was pretty proud of me too! He was kind of shocked that I got it to start. After I finished Apri and I played in the snow together.

Do you like our snowman? Apri thought these pathetic humps were snowmen. I was okay with that, less work for me!

Last we went sledding. We went with Brian's kids and Apri had a blast. I think I would too if someone else carried me up the hill every time....I got a good workout!!
